Today is the day

Hello. I'm on the road to completion. We did line dancing and it was fun. i think i'm going to go every week. if you have not tried it you need to. At club network thay have free line dancing on mondays. so me and some of my work friends will attend on monday.

Line dancing is the place to be

People! WE HAD SO MUCH FUN LAST NIGHT!!! OMG! Line dancing was so much fun, we had lots of our BLR members show up. Kim Roberson, Tracy Knight, Sharon came as she mentioned, Angela Kates, Kristina Maye, Olivia West, Shavon Ashford (I hope i am not forgetting anyone). We had so much fun. i mostly had fun laughing at myself. I did burn some calories on that dance floor, my chest was hurting I was working so hard. i learned (in case i did not already know) that i do not have any rythem!! but thats alright I had fun anyway!

They talked about the Black Heritage Gala. For those of you who have not gone. it is a wonderful night out. We don';t get to got to Balls and fancy dinners all the time and this Gala is an opportunity to do that while celebrating Black History. I would encourage you to go. plus we are all working hard to lose weight and within a month we will be able to squeeze into a smaller size (smile).

I am trying to go to thr gym tonight but my car is in the shop. can anyone help?

Keep it moving

Hello All,
This is my first post and my first full week in BLR and its been good. I didn't join BLR to lose weight but to utilize it in an effort to assist me in becoming a healthier me while utilizing BLR as a vehicle to meet different people. I'm sure you all know, GOD is faithful and I have met some wonderful ladies in the past week....some of whom I've known but didn't know.
I work out at World gym which is very convenient for me because Im EASTSIDE but I can always get a guest pass if you are interested in joining me (M,W,F 7-8pm and Sat am-before none).
If you have been working out for a while, you get bored and this is exactly what happen to me just before the holidays . I needed something different to jump start me and this week I enjoyed mall walking, had a GREAT work-out at Gardner St. Rec. Center and tonight- line dancing....if you were there, you know I'm rhythmically challenged. All and all, it was a lot of fun- even if you aren't a dancer - like me.
Just an FYI and this works for me, I only weigh myself once a week-in the am, but as women, we lose inches before weight, so I rely on how my clothes fit and if I haven't eaten by 7:30pm- then, Im not eating.
Be Blessed, keep the right snacks near by and keep it moving.
Sharon

Great News, Great day!

hello all,

I am so excited about having had the opportunity to watch history take place as our first African American president was swore in! There are not words to describe my feelings as I looked across the crowds of people (1.9 million to be exact)! i saw people of all colors, all backgrounds, all socio-economic statues coming together in celebration of the change that our country is anticipating. i met people from various parts of the country. We laughed together, sang songs, cheered together, and bonded. We may never see each other again in life, but we shared history together.

On another note, I FIT INTO A PAIR OF PANTS TODAY THAT I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO WEAR IN A YEAR!!!! hallelujah!!! At the inauguration i tried my best to eat healthy. i took my meal bars, i did not eat at every rest stop, and had plenty of fruit and water with me for snacking, and i brought activities to keep myself occupied while on the bus. this worked out well for me. i did have some not-so healthy food once or twice, but i was careful to monitor my portion sizes and the frequency of those types of meals. Altogether i think i did a good job and i am am wearing the pants to prove it.

blessings,

see ya'll at line dancing!!!
